“Somatics is a holistic and interdisciplinary approach that connects body sciences, and movement to help each person understand more about his or her body/mind and move toward greater integration.” This gentle movement modality, focused on releasing habitual muscle contraction, is designed to foster an internal sensory awareness to re-educate the body, releasing tension and promoting freedom of movement.

Jul 18   Yoga Nidra, Somatics, Meditation Class

A way to "work in" vs. work out.
Join others who want to develop or advance a meditation practice in this group setting. We’ll begin with somatics, a gentle form of yoga done primarily in a reclined position that promotes sensory awareness and freedom of movement and prepares the Self for further inner work. We’ll then experience Yoga Nidra, an ancient practice from the yoga tradition. Yoga Nidra, or “yogic sleep,” is an effortless state of being, experienced in a reclined position, that invites complete physical, mental and emotional  relaxation. With its many profound benefits, we will use it to further deepen our practice. Class will include Nada yoga, using crystal singing bowls, gong baths and other sound/music designed to unify.  Seated breathing exercises and an extended session of meditation conclude the class.

Aug 15   Life Changes Series?Spirituality and Religion

The Life Changes Seminar Series is a guided discussion on various life changing and/or altering situations. The series is designed to help individuals find the joy and fun in change.

Section 3 Spirituality and Religion

What is the difference between Spirituality and Religion? Is there a difference? Can a spiritual person be a religious person or vice versa? Is it necessary to be one to be the other?

In this segment we will discuss these questions and others. The intention is to lead you to your own truth, not to anyone else’s.

Instructor: Nancy Sallinen, Reiki Master, Owner of So You Think I’m a Dreamer LLC

The intention of So You Think I’m a Dreamer LLC is to help others connect with their Angels and Guides. These words, written and performed by John Lennon in a song called Imagine — released in 1971, are what inspire us. “Your may say I’m a dreamer”, “But I’m not the only one”, “I hope someday you’ll join us and the world will be as one.”

In connecting with your higher self, your Angels and guides you connect with love. The love that is always in your heart. In connecting with that love you will join us in seeing a beautiful world of hope, joy, peace and love. There are so many possibilities and your path is waiting for your. Come, join us.

Aug 17   Healing with Bach Flower Essence

In this class we will explore and discuss Bach Flower Essences and how they may be used for healing.

For hundreds of years, the energy of plants and flowers have been studied for their individual abilities to help correct emotional imbalances leading to joy and happiness. When we experience times of difficulty and stress, flower essences are invaluable in restoring balance.

Dr. Edward Bach believed a person in conflict; emotionally or spiritually could be aided with a combination of flower essences.  He collected dew from the petals of specific flowers and studied their effects on individuals with such imbalances as depression, sadness, anxiety, stress or even insomnia.

In this class explore the history of Dr. Edward Bach, and learn how you can successfully incorporate the Bach Flower Essences into your life and within your family.

A fun seminar to take with a friend or family member!

Sep 03   Discovering Your Soul Contract

Ever felt that you were meant to do something more in this life, that there is more to life but you just cant seem to figure it out?

If you are reading this you have been called to fulfill your soul contract, it is your choice on how you act. In fulfilling your Soul Contract you will find love, joy, peace and prosperity, it is what you were meant to do. It is only you who can make that decision and it is only you who can fulfill your sacred duty.

Many of us struggle everyday with who we are and why we are here. We struggle with who we are suppose to spend our lives or our time with. The reason behind this struggle is because we don’t understand who we re and what we are meant to do. Your are not alone in this struggle. There are few whom actually mange to fulfill their soul contract. Why is this you ask? Because we are imperfect filters. We don’t always get the messages and direction we are given clearly so we make mistakes. We also have a tendency to believe what others say about us (it’s not usually the good stuff) and we base our actions and our live on this.

If you are ready to change this, join us for a day of discovery. You will discover the Archetypes that have governed your life, you will see patterns state to unfold, good or bad. We will help you discover your main Archetype which is the basis for your contract. You will be introduced to your guides and crystals which will help you on your journey. You will be given options to help you remove blocks and to find clarify.

This is your Soul (sole) journey, but there are wonderful people people waiting to meet and visit with you on your path. Join us and begin your journey to love.

Oct 12 - Oct 14   Foundations in Myofascial Release Seminar: The Upper Body

One of three entry points into the Foundations in Myofascial Release Seminars: The Upper Body begins at the core, teaching you a simple but very effective means of connecting your findings with your client’s pain or dysfunction. Using a well-defined Feedback Loop, the Foundations Approach makes treatment quite simple. Therapists who have taken seminars through the Foundations Seminars Approach have reported that they learned effective interventions quickly and easily and are able to integrate the newly learned concepts immediately. Even those therapists with previous experience in myofascial release (MFR) trainings find value in the Foundations Approach, not only to learn different approaches/techniques, but through learning ways to use this effective modality. After learning a core understanding of nervous system and soft tissue change, the application of treatment flows smoothly. Autonomic nervous system engagement, cutaneous nerve/skin-based approaches, as well as the more traditional “fascial approaches” to pain relief will all be addressed in an easy to understand fashion. Having a deeper model of understanding of the explanations behind this work makes for a much more effective therapist.

The Upper Body Seminar includes valuable evaluative and treatment perspectives on the arms, shoulders, thorax, neck, and head regions. But more than just a collection of techniques, you will learn how to apply these concepts anywhere in the body, with nuanced variations in stretch direction and style that allows you to further engage your patient in the process and alleviate their pain or symptoms.

Foundations in Myofascial Release Seminars are designed for both beginner and experienced therapists. Massage therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech language pathologists will all find value in these fast paced and enjoyable hands-on classes. Using an easy to follow approach, Foundations Seminars will build the confidence of a beginner to start using this valuable modality from the first day. Those who have taken other myofascial release seminars will find fresh a fresh approach to evaluation and treatment. Integrating a nervous system based approach creates entirely new openings for the therapist to follow. Pain which was previously explained in a nebulous manner, taking into account the supposed far-reaching effects of the fascial system can now be explained in a plausible fashion using simple neuroanatomy and neuroscience. While many therapists may prefer to continue on the fringe of acceptance, many more are reaching for credibility. Foundations Seminars supports you!

The Upper Body Seminar is 20 hours/2.5-days.

Prerequisite: LMT,PT, PTA, OTR, and other licensed healthcare providers

NCBTMB 20 CE Hours. Approval for SLP’s, PT’s, PTA’s, OTR’s, and COTA’s varies on a state-by-state basis. Please inquire for specific approval for these and other professions, as many will have been previously approved.

The Foundations Approach is a simple one; connect with your patient’s pain and create change. This need not be made more difficult that it is. The principles you will learn in the Foundations Approach Seminars are easily applicable to most of your existing training as well. After over two and a half decades in this field, Walt Fritz has created a very simple approach to dealing with pain. Please consider joining him for this Upper Body Seminar.
