Nov 21   Rainbows
Rainbows is a program for children and adolescents (K-12) who are dealing with major family changes such as divorce or death. The 12-week program seeks to provide a "rainbow" after the storm in a child's life. Its goals are to help participants understand and express their feelings, to build a stronger sense of self-esteem, and to direct their energy toward a healthy acceptance of the changes that have taken place. A concurrent parent group is also offered. Facilitated by Haley Pfeuffer, Rainbows Coordinator.

Dec 02   Upledger ShareCare Workshop

One of the goals of The Upledger Institute is to teach people that they play the most active role in their own health. ShareCare workshops were designed by Dr. John E. Upledger specifically for persons with no prior knowledge of anatomy or physiology. Dr. Upledger Is the osteopathic physician who led the research team to establish the scientific basis for a craniosacral system. He has shown how the system could be used to evaluate and treat misunderstood malfunctions involving the brain, spinal cord, and a myriad of other health problems such as chronic pain, lowered vitality, recurring infections, etc.

ShareCare participants with no healthcare background can learn about the craniosacral system and its influence on their overall health. Presenters will introduce a few simple techniques designed to relieve headaches, reduce stress, control pain, promote relaxation, and to lead participants to a greater understanding of their role in their own health.

It provides 6 CEU for massage therapists & bodyworkers, but is open to the general public and there are no pre-requisites.

Participants should wear comfortable clothing.

Supplies - we only need a few massage tables so its up to you if you ask them to bring or the school has their own.

Here is a link to an Upledger video. http://shop.iahe.com/Workshops/ShareCare

The ShareCare Course cost is $160.00 plus a $15.00 study guide fee

Dec 14   Chakra Balancing with Bach

In this class we will explore the chakra centers of the body and their relationship to your emotions.

Learn effective ways to use flower essences, the vibrational patterns of plants, to help balance the emotions related to each chakra.

For hundreds of years, the energy of plants and flowers have been studied for their individual abilities to help correct emotional imbalances leading to joy and happiness. When we experience times of difficulty and stress, flower essences are invaluable in restoring balance.

Dr. Edward Bach believed a person in conflict; emotionally or spiritually could be aided with a combination of flower essences. He collected dew from the petals of specific flowers and studied their effects on individuals with such imbalances as depression, sadness, anxiety, stress or even insomnia.
A fun seminar to take with a friend or family member!

6pm-7:30pm
$25 per person($5 discount for registrations received two weeks or more in advance)

Rainbows is a program for children and adolescents (K-12) who are dealing with major family changes such as divorce or death. The 12-week program seeks to provide a "rainbow" after the storm in a child's life.
