Apr 01   Blueburg Cafe Open Mic Night
The Blueburg Café offers 'Plug and Play' Open Mic nights on the first Wednesday of each month, showcasing musicians, singers, poets, dancers, comedians, filmmakers and story-tellers. Amplification and microphones are provided. All ages are welcome! $2 donation qualifies you for door prize entry! Open Mic begins at 7:00 pm and continues until approximately 9:00 pm. Doors open and sign-up begins at 6:15 pm. Performers are encouraged to sign up before 6:40 pm as slots fill quickly. Performers appear on stage on a first-come, first on-stage basis, with management reserving the right to move performances to best showcase the talent. Each performer will have approximately 5 minutes on the stage. Filmmakers must call in advance to ensure proper equipment is available. The Café's full bar offers drink specials, beer, wine, soft drinks including Sprecher soda, and snacks. Complimentary coffee is provided courtesy of Starbucks® of Cedarburg.

The Cedarburg Cultural Center is eager to present THROWBACK THURSDAYS, a new, monthly music series with a hip twist on timeless classics. May 06   Blueburg Cafe Open Mic Night
The Blueburg Café offers 'Plug and Play' Open Mic nights on the first Wednesday of each month, showcasing musicians, singers, poets, dancers, comedians, filmmakers and story-tellers. Amplification and microphones are provided. All ages are welcome! $2 donation qualifies you for door prize entry! Open Mic begins at 7:00 pm and continues until approximately 9:00 pm. Doors open and sign-up begins at 6:15 pm. Performers are encouraged to sign up before 6:40 pm as slots fill quickly. Performers appear on stage on a first-come, first on-stage basis, with management reserving the right to move performances to best showcase the talent. Each performer will have approximately 5 minutes on the stage. Filmmakers must call in advance to ensure proper equipment is available. May 09   Wild Edibles Walk and Class with Heath Johnson of DeKalb County Community Garden
Spring Wildcrafting Day - Identify, collect, and enjoy the wild edibles of Spring. This class is for all levels of harvesters to learn foraging, identification, safety, and ethics of wild harvesting. Go on a wild forage, then prepare and enjoy your bounty! Wellspring's diverse farmed and natural areas offer a perfect setting for learning about wild foods! This class welcomes beginners to learn the basics of foraging, identification, safety, and ethics of harvest. People of all experience levels are encouraged to attend and refine their skills, share knowledge with the group and ask lots of questions in order to enrich experiences! We will practice some brief awareness exercises, followed by a plant walk and harvest, and return to assemble a wild salad and enjoy other dishes with wild ingredients. If there is extra time we will practice the art of cracking black walnuts with stones or learn to twist plant fibers into cordage. Bring on the good weather and the wild food! $55 by 5/2 $60 after. May 16   WWII Final Push to Victory

On Saturday, May 16, Ozaukee County Pioneer Village will be transformed into a small European village with encampments of American, British, German and Russian soldiers from WWII. The 1st Allied Airborne Living History Reenactors from around the Midwest will commemorate the 70th anniversary of V-E Day (Victory in Europe) at the "Final Push to Victory", an event presented by the Ozaukee County Historical Society. The event which starts at 10:00AM, will include demonstrations, displays, vehicles and camp activities all day. The Ozaukee County Historical Society will display an Honor Wall of WWII veterans from the area. Wartime music will be broadcast over the village during the day. Battles will take place in the valley at 11:00AM and in the village at 2:30PM, with a surrender ceremony to follow. Taps will be sounded and the soldiers will line up for Mess Call. There will be a huge celebration USO dance in the evening, featuring Swing Noveau, who will play all the wartime classics.

Get involved in one of the biggest movements around in art - artist trading cards! This will be a relaxed social environment with an emphasis on learning through sharing. Leave each month with a collection of new art by fellow artists. it will get you creative at least once a month, in a supportive, friendly atmosphere. Pre-registration appreciated. we will meet on the 3rd Thursday of every month. themes will be applied but not mandatory to create. Runs through October 15th.
